A new study has revealed that Roscommon is amongst Ireland’s hardest-working counties, ranking 6th in the national Hard-Working Index.
The research, from leading business utility consultants Procure.ie, analysed the latest figures from the Central Statistics Office (CSO) to compare how far people travel to work, how long those journeys take, and how many people are unemployed in each county.
These factors were combined to produce a score ranking every county in Ireland from hardest to least hard-working.
Roscommon earned a score of 243.8, reflecting low unemployment and relatively long commute distances. The findings highlight the commitment and work ethic of local residents, who demonstrate strong participation in the workforce, showing exceptional dedication to their jobs.
