A County Roscommon farmer is set to host a Farming for Nature farm walk next month focusing on biodiversity and organic farming.
Andrew Chilton will host the event, entitled Building Diversity into a Small Organic Farm, on Saturday, October 3.
The walk will give participants an opportunity to learn more about the development and management of a small mixed organic farm and the ways in which biodiversity can be incorporated into a working agricultural enterprise.
The event forms part of the Farming for Nature farm-walk programme, which gives farmers and members of the public an opportunity to see nature-friendly farming practices operating on farms around the country.
