Roscommon Minors face Leitrim this evening

The Roscommon minors take on Leitrim in round three of the Connacht Minor Football championship on Friday evening in Ballinamore with throw-in at 6.45 pm.

James Duignan’s team are going into the game on the back of a three-point win over Galway last Friday evening when they won the game on a scoreline of 1-10 to 1-7.

The foundations for their victory over Galway were laid in the first half with a dominant Roscommon display. Alan Conroy’s well-taken goal in the second minute set the tone. Roscommon led by 1-4 to 0-4 at half-time.

Galway were better after the break and they narrowed the gap to one a couple of times. With 14 minutes to go a fisted goal from David Kilraine saw the score stand at Roscommon 1-7 Galway 1-6. Points from Keelan Kelly, Ciaran Enright and Eoin Collins ensured a very impressive win for James Duignan’s side.
