Roscommon median weekly earnings rise to €726.94

Median gross weekly earnings among employees living in County Roscommon reached €726.94 in 2025, according to new Central Statistics Office figures.

The figure increased by 4.3% from €697.12 in 2024, but remained €32.27 below the national median of €759.21.

The median represents the midpoint of earnings: half of employments recorded earnings above that amount and half below.

The CSO’s county breakdown is based on where employees live, rather than where they work. It therefore includes Roscommon residents employed outside the county.

Median gross weekly earnings among male employees living in Roscommon were €781.97, compared with €664.37 among female employees.

These figures describe overall earnings differences and do not measure differences in pay for equivalent work or working hours.

Mean gross weekly earnings in Roscommon were higher, at €862.71, reflecting the different calculation used for an arithmetic average.

The figures form part of the CSO’s Earnings Analysis using Administrative Data Sources 2025, published on October 6.
