Roscommon Cattle Roscommon Mart reported a very good trade for all classes of cattle with a very good clearance. They had a very big number of good quality heifers for special Continental Heifers Sale with some fancy prices paid. A large number of dry cows and cows with calves met with very strong demand. Date of sale: Friday 27th April, 2007. Number on offer: 1,020. Heavy bullocks: 500kg and over €260 to €610 over. Sample prices: AA 575kg €940; CH 645kg €1,095; CH 610kg €1,145; CH 625kg €1,180. Store bullocks: Up to 500kg €270 to €500 over. Sample prices: CH 440kg €900; 2 CH 450kg €830; 6 LIM 306kg €650; CH 500kg €1,000. Beef/Butchers Heifers: €310 to €375 over.
