Roscommon IFA thanks Bóthar contributors

Roscommon IFA has issued its heartfelt thanks to a number of local people who recently contributed to its heifer drive in aid of Bóthar. A total of sixteen animals were donated to farming families in Kosovo just before Christmas.

  The association wishes to thank the following people: Shane and Eva Fitzgerald, Killaderry Ballyforan, Ballinasloe and reared by Liam and William Brandon, Cargins, Donamon; Kevin and Lucy Flynn, Ratra, Tibohine; Michael and Frances Gallagher, Lismoyle, Curraghboy, who donated one heifer and reared one; Gerard and Angela Nerney, Doughill, Curraghroe (donated one and reared one); David and Emily Cunningham, Carnalasson, Fourmilehouse (reared a heifer); Micheal Duffy, Derryneil, Athlone (reared a heifer); Cam Bóthar Group, who donated three heifers and Ballygar Bóthar Group, who donated five heifers.

  Seven heifers were sent to Kosovo on December 14th and nine were sent on February 8th to aid farming families in Kosovo.

  Roscommon IFA would also like to thank Seamus Fallon and James Gallagher for assisting in the transportation of the heifers to Roscrea Mart. Thanks also to the veterinarians and AI personnel who gave of their services for free and to anyone who contributed in any way towards this project.
