A fringe festival will take place in Roscommon town over the weekend of the 10 th -12 th August and will include such events as a multicultural food picnic, a sculpture park and an Art exhibit. Open Eyes is the official name of the festival which is a celebration of all the different cultures living here in Roscommon in a weekend which art, music and dance become our common language. Feast the senses with a wonderful buffet of artisan foods from around the world at the Multicultural Food Picnic. Try your hand at object sculpture and create your own personal figurine at the Sculpture Park or why not sample the work from artists all around the country at the Art Exhibit over the weekend. The fun begins on Friday 10 th August at 7 p.m. at the Old A.I.B, Church St. with the Art Exhibition opening. It is a weekend not to be missed and a chance to come express yourself in a way you have never done before.
