The inclement weather conditions played havoc at the weekend and hindered the commencement of the U-14 Championship. Athleague vs Four Roads & Padraig Pearses vs Oran suffered as pitches were rendered unplayable. These games will now be replayed at a later stage. St. Dominics got their campaign off to a winning start comprehensively defeating newcomers Roscommon Gaels on a scoreline of 4 goals to no score. The Roscommon Junior camogie team’s winning streak continued when they defeated a gallant Kildare by 5 points on Sunday last (report elsewehere). The 2007 panel will be presented with their Connacht medals on Sunday night 16th March at 8 pm in the Harrison Restaurant, Roscommon. The presentation will be made by Cathaoirleach of Connacht Camogie Council, Geraldine McGrath. Roscommon Camogie Board are busily preparing behind the scenes for Congress which takes place on the last weekend in March at the Hodson Bay, Athlone.
