Fifty years ago, in the autumn of 1957, Rockingham House, in Lough Key Forest Park, was gutted by fire. The ruins stood until 1971 and were subsequently replaced with the Moylurg Tower. A special remembrance event will be held in September for invited guests, in particular those who have connections with the family or who helped with providing memories, stories or memorabilia for a booklet being compiled about the house.
