Retail Therapy funding

A grant of €138,588 to Roscommon Retail Therapy, whose mission is to tackle social exclusion, was welcomed this week by Deputy Michael Finneran. Deputy Finneran said, ‘Roscommon Retail Therapy is located at Melting Pot, Castlecourt, Castle Street, Roscommon and is a community based co-operative whose mission is to harness community enterprise as a means of tackling the social exclusion experienced by a number of disadvantaged groups in the County.’ ‘Minister Ó Cuív opened the Roscommon Retail Therapy in November, and was most impressed with their objectives for disadvantaged people. I welcome this funding of €138,588 for the Roscommon Retail Therapy and I congratulate the Chairperson Andrew McDonnell and his staff for their work on behalf of disadvantaged people with County Roscommon,’ concluded Deputy Finneran TD. Bereavement information evening The Health Service Executive, West, Mayo/Roscommon Hospice Foundation and a number of local agencies in Roscommon have organised an information evening for parents and carers of post-primary school children on supporting your child through death and grief. The information evening will take place in the Abbey Hotel, Roscommon town, on Tuesday 22nd April at 8 pm with guest speaker Eileen Scott, Senior Medical Social Worker, Palliative Care Team, HSE West, Roscommon.
