Raw chicken which was sold in a number of supermarkets around the country is being recalled due to the detection of salmonella.
The products, which are being recalled by Western Brand, were on sale in Aldi, Lidl, Dunnes. and Tesco. Other products were sold under BWG’s Glenmór brand and were available at other retail outlets.
The products include breast fillets, legs, whole chickens, wings, and thighs. They are now past their use-by date but consumers may still have them in their freezers. Consumers are advised not to eat the affected batches.
A recall notice has been posted on Food Safety Authority of Ireland’s website and notices will also be posted at the points of sale.
