Roscommon PPN (Public Participation Network) and Roscommon Volunteer Centre are running a free two day informative workshop on supporting and engaging volunteers.
These workshops will take place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. this Thursday, October 13th and the following Thursday, October 20th in the Abbey Hotel, Roscommon Town.
The Workshops are designed towards equipping attendee organisations with the knowledge and skills to successfully secure and sustain volunteer engagement.
Members of community and voluntary groups, social inclusion stakeholders, environmental groups, PPN Members and all relevant groups seeking volunteer engagement in Roscommon are invited to attend these important workshops.
Key topics that will be covered in the workshops include planning for involving volunteers, managing expectations, volunteer motivations and engagement as well as appropriate measures for volunteer screening and selection.
