Roscommon County Council is inviting the public to have their say as part of a major consultation process in respect of the proposed Tarmonbarry Riverside Park.
The local authority has appointed a multi-disciplinary team, led by planning and design consultancy Cunnane Stratton Reynolds, to prepare a feasibility study for the ambitious development along the banks of the River Shannon.
Roscommon County Council says it is keen to hear the views, thoughts, ideas and opinions of local community members, organisations and groups as part of the process. The consultation will explore potential options and project ideas, with the aim of creating a shared vision for Tarmonbarry Riverside Park and its environs.
Residents, sports clubs, schools, community groups and other interested parties are being encouraged to attend a discussion and feedback session, which will help shape the future of the proposed development.
A drop-in information session will take place on Tuesday, July 7th, from 3 pm to 7 pm in Keenan’s Hotel and Restaurant, Tarmonbarry, N39 W968.
The project concept can be viewed on the Consult Roscommon website portal at consult.roscommoncoco.ie.
The consultation portal will remain open for submissions from Monday, June 29th, to Tuesday, July 14th.
Views and feedback can also be submitted by email to regeneration@roscommoncoco.ie before close of business on July 14th.
