Project ‘will create 240 jobs’

The launch took place last Friday of a major project which will incorporate a new retail centre and underground carpark to be located in the heart of Roscommon town’s thriving commercial centre.    Developer Mr. Paddy Sweeney was joined by Government TD Deputy Michael Finneran at a photocall on site last Friday afternoon.    Work has been ongoing at the location for several weeks now with the project set to be quite unique in this region in that it will include an underground carpark. In all over 200 carparking spaces will be available.    The facility at Circular Road, Roscommon will include a two-storey building containing massive retail space and a garden centre.    Mr. Paddy Sweeney is a well-known businessman who has a number of existing interests in Roscommon.    Deputy Michael Finneran has indicated his enthusiastic support for a project which is creating employment, providing new facilities in the area and which looks set to help alleviate parking problems in the Circular Road/Town Centre area.
