The days of the Sliabh Bán Hotel in Ballyleague may be numbered after a planning application was lodged this week to build a pub, restaurant and 34 houses in its place. The application from Gannon Homes Ltd. was submitted to Roscommon County Council on July 2nd. The houses to be constructed are a mix of two, three and four-bedroom homes and vary from 1.5 to three storey in height. A decision on the application is expected in late August.
