Oidhreacht Chill Choirín – Kilkerrin Heritage Group is organising a photographic competition to encourage people, young and old, to consider the many aspects of their heritage which surround them. The theme of the competition is ‘Our Heritage’ and photographs capturing any aspect of our national heritage may be submitted electronically or in hard copy. The competition is confined to Kilkerrin natives and will have sections for primary schoolchildren, secondary schoolchildren and adults. It is intended to hold an exhibition of the best photographs in the Community Development Centre on September 2nd, Heritage Day. Prizes will include a number of digital cameras and closing date will be Friday, August 24th. So whether it’s the old Brownie or the sleek digital or even your mobile phone, now is the time to get out and get snapping!
