Pearses to thwart Clann treble bid?

Connaughton Fuels Roscommon MFC ‘A’ Final:
Padraig Pearses v Clann na nGael on Sunday in Knockcroghery at 2.30 pm

It’s a repeat of the senior final pairing as these two arch-rivals face off at Knockcroghery. Clann are looking for their third title in a row this year at this grade while Pearses have not won this championship since 2007.

Clann defeated St Brigid’s in a hard-fought semi-final and they will be looking to the likes of Kieran Connaughton, Shay Henry and Ian Naughton and Damien Duff, while Pearses have some excellent performers like senior star Hubert Darcy, hurling star Daniel Glynn and others like Conor Payne and Jamie Donoghue.

The standard of Roscommon club football at minor level has been very high in recent years and this promises to be a cracking game.

Last weekend was not one to remember in the Pearses club but their minor team can lift the gloom by taking this title on Sunday.

People Sport Prediction: Padraig Pearses.
