Pearses pledge to return

Speaking to the Pearses camp afterwards made for quite a contrast. Devastated talisman Shane Sweeney told the People that ‘we didn’t want to come into this game feeling we had left it behind us the last day, but in a way, that’s what happened.    ‘We made a decision to play with the wind to get a good start, and maybe we didn’t make enough of it in the first half. Their first goal was a lucky break – it got stuck in the mud, but we know you make your own luck. It’s hard to take, but we’ll be back.’
