A minute’s silence in memory of John Lavin of Carragarriffe, Tibohine who passed away on Tuesday was held at the replayed Minor Division 2 County Final replayed in Ballyforan last night (Wednesday). John was a member of the Roscommon Minor Team that won the All-Ireland title in 1951 and was a founding member of the Western Gaels club in 1962. John will repose in The Sharkey Funeral Home, Ballaghaderreen, this evening (Thursday) from 5 pm followed by removal at 7.30 pm to Tibohine Church, arriving at 8 pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Friday at 11 am, followed by interment in Tibohine (new) cemetery. May he rest in peace.
