Lots to celebrate at Creggs Harvest Festival
This year’s Creggs Harvest Festival, which takes place over the course of the Bank Holiday Weekend, promises to be ‘spooktacular’ fun with a frightful array of events on the Hallowe’en weekend.
This year there is lots to celebrate in Creggs, as the local football team were crowned junior football champions last weekend, after a gap of 33 years. No doubt the exploits of the Creggs team will form part of the celebrations over the course of the weekend and the local club is the focal point of a number of events taking place over the weekend.
The weekend begins with a schools quiz in Roarke’s Bar at 6.30 pm. At 8 pm the centre of attention moves to the Historical Centre where the annual Harvest Mass will take place at 8 pm, followed by the presentation of the Personality of the Year.
All proceeds from Friday night’s quiz in Roarke’s Bar will go towards the local GAA Club and the quiz will get underway at 10 pm.
Saturday night seeks a Mad Hatters Tea Party in Creggs NS, with proceeds towards the staging of the Harvest Festival. This promises to be a fun night, the cost is €10 per person, with tables of ten and music will be provided on the night.
If you would like to host a table (usually ten people) or come along and attend the event, or would like more information, call Mary on 086-8054116.
