A decision by Roscommon County Council to draw up local area plans for a number of towns and villages in the County was welcomed this week by Cllr. Paddy Kilduff (right), who called for such plans to be drawn up for Lecarrow and Knockcroghery. ‘I want to welcome the decision by Roscommon County Council to develop Local Area Plans for a number of towns and villages throughout County Roscommon. ‘I want to particularly welcome the inclusion of the villages of Lecarrow and Knockcroghery amongst those areas prioritised for formal planning. This decision will be a tremendous benefit to both villages. I have no doubt that the imminent consultation process and resulting plans will ensure sustainable and orderly development in the villages going forward.’
