Oran Ballinaheglish bus moved to Fridays

Cllr. Orla Leyden was recently made aware by users of the Oran, Ballinaheglish rural transport service that it had been moved from Friday to a Saturday.             The rural bus which is really well subscribed and provides an important service to the people in the area, was not as popular on a Saturday. Cllr, Leyden made the case to Dick Hinchy of Artbus, Tumnashannon Development Company, that it was important that the people of Oran and Ballinaheglish, Cloverhill had the bus service available to them on a Friday to allow people to do banking or visit the doctors, pay a trip to the mart as well as access shopping, the post office, the butchers, etc.             Cllr. Leyden is grateful to Tumnashannon Development Company and Dick Hinchy for listening to the case she made to have the service returned to a Friday. Cllr. Leyden said the Oran, Ballinaheglish bus will run again as and from this Friday, the 23rd May, instead of Saturday.
