There was further honour for Roscommon Golf Club this week with news that Olivia Costello and Thomas Higgins will represent Ireland in the forthcoming women’s and men’s European Championships respectively.
Olivia (pictured) has been selected on the women’s team that will compete in the championships this year at Slieve Russell in County Cavan between July 7th and July 11th.
Thomas Higgins will join the new British Open Amateur champion Stuart Grehan on the Irish team that will play in Estonia from August 3rd to August 6th.
The Irish women’s team is: Beth Coulter (Kirkistown Castle), Olivia Costello (Roscommon), Kate Dillon (Oughterard), Rebekah Gardner (Clandeboye), Katie Poots (Knock), Jess Ross (Clandeboye).
The Irish men’s team is: John Doyle (Fota Island), Stuart Grehan (Co Louth), Thomas Higgins (Roscommon), Matthew McClean (Malone), Caolan Rafferty (Dundalk), Gavin Tiernan (Co Louth).
