Offaly crash victim to be laid to rest Thursday

A man who died following a road traffic collision in County Offaly in the early hours of Sunday morning has been named locally as John Fleming. He was a native of Currasallagh, Lisacul but lived at Brenamore, Loughglynn.

Mr. Fleming, aged in his 50s, was seriously injured in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene. The occupants of the car received medical attention but were not seriously injured.

The late Mr. Fleming will repose in the Sharkey Funeral Home, Loughglynn, on Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 7.30 p.m. with Removal to the Church of Our Lady of Good Counsel, Loughglynn, arriving at 8 p.m.

He will be laid to rest in Lisacul Cemetery following Mass of the Resurrection on Thursday at 12 noon.
