If it’s October, then it’s Lollipops month at Roscommon Arts Centre! Our annual, month-long season of events for young audiences boasts aerial dance, music performances, a new show for early years audiences and more workshops with the ever-popular brickflicks gang!
We’re targeting schools this year with most of our performances happening during school time.
Graffitti Classics (pictured) are back with their high-energy classical music performance for aged 5+.
This all-singing, all-dancing musical show is a classical concert, a gypsy-folk romp, an opera and a dance show all rolled into one – from Beethoven to Bluegrass, Saturday Night Fever to Elvis – it’s a great introduction to classical music for young audiences!
Monster Music Improv brings together musicans that will create funky jazz melodies on the spot, while cartoonist Patrick Sanders draws cartoons of the same music on the screen on stage in a rather unusual adventure in the arts centre. Brought to you in association with ‘The Ark’, Ireland’s cultural centre for children, this should be a pretty cool event that is sure to tap into the imaginations of our younger audiences.
