The North Board GAA Convention was held recently in the Club rooms, Tulsk. The following clubs were represented: Shannon Gaels, St. Barry’s, Kilglass Gaels, Castlerea St. Kevin’s, Tulsk, Michael Glavey’s, St. Ronan’s, St. Croan’s, Eire Óg and Western Gaels. In his address, An Cathaoirleach Seamus Regan thanked all who contributed to the smooth running of affairs during the year. He also thanked the referees and made an appeal for more people to get involved in refereeing. Motions passed: That only the winning team in North Junior B be promoted to Junior A (Motion sponsored by Tulsk). That fixtures made by the Board be strictly adhered to (Motion sponsored by Kilglass Gaels). Officers elected – President: Paddy Mulvey (Shannon Gaels); Chairman: Seamus Regan (Eire Óg); Vice-Chairman: Seamus Nugent (Kilglass Gaels) and Secretary: Sean Mannion (Tulsk).
