There was no joy for St. Coman’s in the 40×20 Open Inter Club All-Ireland semi-final held in Collohill, Co. Laois last Saturday when they were well beaten by a formidable side from Breacach in Co. Tyrone.
Rikki O’Gara was well beaten by Gabhán McCrystal, 21-8, 21-12 in the first singles match.
The doubles pair of Niall McGrath and Darren Beatty went down 13-21, 14-21, to Johnny Woods and Pól Clarke.
Shane O’Neill only needed six points against Neil McDermott in the last singles, and he quickly reached his target ending the St. Coman’s adventure.
