First class relic in Donamon Castle
The Elphin Diocesan Apostolic Workers are holding an afternoon of prayer in Donamon Castle Church this Saturday (29th), commencing at 2.15 pm and concluding with Holy Mass at 4 pm.
The first class relic of St. Bernadette will be present on the day. Those interested in attending are asked to contact 086-3755225. Cost is €10.

Free Beginners Computer classes are now available at the Roscommon Women’s Network in Castlerea for those wishing to upskill in the use of computers and the Internet.

Official launch of Singers Festival 2018
The official launch of South Roscommon Singers Festival 2018 will take place in PJ’s of Castlecoote this Friday night (28th) starting at 9.30 pm. There promises to be plenty of entertainment, chat and songs on the night.
This year’s festival will host events in Roscommon Town, Knockcroghery and Kilteevan across the October Bank Holiday weekend (26th to 28th October).
Among the guests due to attend is multi Grammy Award winner and recipient of the Steve Martin Prize for Excellence in Banjo, Rhiannon Giddens from North Carolina.
There will also be some new features to this year’s event, such as a Soap Box (Speaker’s Corner) with a special twist, which will take place in conjunction with a Socialist Choir from London – The Strawberry Thieves.
This Friday’s launch will be carried out by a very special and talented mystery guest.
Praying a public Rosary for Ireland

Motivational Dancing in Ballintubber
Motivational Dancing will start at 11 am on Thursday, October 4th at the Old School House in Ballintubber. Castlerea Women’s Group in association with Active Age Ballintubber will host four workshops with Liam Kildea at a cost of €2.50 per session with refreshments included. All welcome.
There will be no Active Age meeting in Ballintubber next Tuesday (October 2nd) due to a day trip, but it will return the following week at 11 am.
Finally, Active Age Ballintubber would like to thank all parishioners and the local community for their generosity during the recent church gate collection. A total of €370.57 was raised for the group.
