‘Self Care to Wellness’ at Primary Care Centre

A Self Care to Wellness Programme for people living with an ongoing or long-term health condition is starting on Monday, September 16th in Roscommon Primary Care Centre. The course is for 2 and a half hours each day and runs for six weeks.

Charity Tractor/Motorcycle/Vintage run on Sunday, September 8th

Ballaghaderreen Men’s Shed Group are hosting a charity Tractor/Motorcycle/Vintage Run at 12 pm on Sunday, September 8th to raise funds for IMNDA (Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association) in conjunction with the upcoming London to Ballaghaderreen Cycle event. Meeting in the Midnight Club car park, Station Road, Ballaghaderreen at 12 pm.

  A raffle will take place afterwards and refreshments will be served in the Midnight Club by the Men’s Shed Group.

Strokestown to host St. Padre Pio Mass

The Mass of St. Padre Pio will be celebrated in Strokestown Parish Church, on Tuesday, September 10th at 8 pm. The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Bryan Shortall, O.F.M. Capuchian Friary, Dublin. Fr. Bryan will be available to hear confession from 6.30 pm. After mass, Fr. Bryan will give a blessing, to each individual, with the Saint Padre Pio mitten.

Ros Go Run event in Loughglynn

A Ros Go Run event, in association with charity partner MS Ireland Roscommon branch, Lisacul Community Development Company and Lynch Roofing, Ballaghaderreen will take place from Éire Óg GAA pitch in Loughglynn on Sunday, September 1st at 11.30 am. There will be half marathon, 10K and 5K routes and the event will be chip timed.

Church gate collections for Mayo Roscommon Hospice

 Church gate collections in aid of Mayo Roscommon Hospice will take place in local towns in the Roscommon region on Saturday, August 31st and Sunday, September 1st. Your generous support would be most appreciated. All funds raised will go to help build the new hospice building in Roscommon and maintain local homecare palliative care services. All support would be greatly appreciated.

Special programmes on Ros FM

There will be two special programmes on Ros FM 94.6 on Tuesday, September 3rd between 4 pm and 5 pm and Thursday, September 5th from 5 pm and 6 pm entitled ‘Let’s Talk Business with Martin Flaherty’. In the programme Martin will be chatting to Roscommon business people.

Kilkerrin/Clonberne Hospice Coffee Morning

A Hospice Coffee Morning in memory of Carmel Martin will take place this Sunday (September 1st) in the Kilkerrin/Clonberne Pastoral Centre from 11 am to 1.30 pm with a raffle taking place on the day.

Hospice coffee morning on Thursday, September 19th

Mayo Roscommon Hospice is appealing for individuals, companies, groups, schools, coffee shops etc. to host a coffee morning/evening on their behalf on ‘National Coffee morning for Hospice’ on Thursday, September 19th or any date that suits. Coffee and promotional material provided, kindly sponsored by Bewley’s.

  With your support the foundation will continue to ensure that patients with life limiting illnesses from Mayo and Roscommon have the best possible facilities available when they need it.
