Annual Grandparents’ Pilgrimage to Knock

The annual Grandparents’ Pilgrimage to Knock Shrine will take place on Sunday, September 8th at the Shrine of Our Lady of Knock.

This annual pilgrimage is a special day for grandparents and families, and a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge the great contribution that grandparents make to church, to family, and to society in teaching and passing on the faith.

The Catholic Grandparents Association was established to help and support grandparents in their great task. Grandparents were never as important as they are today at this critical time to the church, the family and society.

The pilgrimage begins with the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick at 2.30 pm. The Pilgrimage Mass follows at 3 pm with Chief Celebrant Bishop Kevin Doran, Bishop of Elphin.

We look forward to welcoming each and every one of you personally in Knock so that grandparents everywhere can be honoured and thanked.
