Defibrillators for Elphin The information night held recently was a huge success with a large crowd in attendance. Feighan condemns Minister Frank Feighan TD has condemned the decision of the Department of Community & Rural Affairs not to renew contracts for Support Agencies and says this will be a major blow to the North West Roscommon Community development programme based in Market St. in the town. Deputy Feighan will be raising the matter directly with the Minister. Ballaghaderreen on ‘Pobal’ Pobal, shown on RTE l, will feature an item on the Handball Alley in Ballaghaderreen and its association with the VEC on Sunday, 30th March at 5.25 pm. Beekeeping Association The next meeting of the Suck Valley Beekeepers Association will be held in the Community Centre, Ballygar on Monday, 31st March at 8.30 pm. New members always welcome. Please note change of date. Roscommon Medjugorje Mass for Peace A Medjugorje Mass for Peace will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 1st in St. Coman’s Club, Roscommon and every first Tuesday thereafter. It commences at 8 pm. On occasions there will be guest speakers, talks and testimonies. You are invited to attend. Ballintubber Tidy Towns The first clean-up of the village and approach roads takes place on Monday March 31st, at 7 pm.
