A new Teagasc advisory service for Roscommon and Longford was launched yesterday (Wednesday). The agriculture and food authority is putting a new structure in place, aimed at delivering improved services to existing and new farmers in the region. The service will now operate as a single unit for both counties. Director of the Border, Midland and Western Regional Assembly, Gerry Finn, launched the new service on Wednesday afternoon. Area Manager Oliver Burke said that the amalgamation will benefit everyone.
