New spa therapy suite opens it doors in Ballygar

Para Ti, a new spa therapy suite, is now open in Ballygar and proprietor Nuala Shaughnessy is looking forward to the official opening on Saturday week, August 25th. Nuala Shaughnessy from Glenamaddy has always been interested in fashion and beauty. At the age of 12, she took a course in deportment, where she learned that poise and good self image are the key factors in self development and are fundamental in the industry she would focus her career on, even at this young age. After leaving school, Nuala took up fashion design in The Limerick Senior College and from here she took an impressive portfolio to The Grafton Academy, where she spent a further three years and graduated with an honours Diploma. After working in this industry for two years, Nuala decided to develop her interest in the ‘Body Beautiful’, so she made a career move and commenced training in beauty therapy at Coen Cantrell, a branch of the Georgina Price College of Beauty, Galway. Nuala knew right away that this was the career she preferred. She thoroughly enjoyed her training and couldn’t wait to qualify. She did qualify with diplomas in ITEC, CIBTAC and CIDESCO. Nuala now had the confidence and after work experience in local salons, she sought out her favourite area of the beauty industry ‘spa therapy. She found work at the new Spa Salveo in Knockranny House Hotel, Westport. Soon after, Nuala was promoted to head therapist and trainer. Nuala had a very good reputation and earned an award for excellence. Over her three years at Knockranny she was well respected as a therapist for her skills and pleasant personality among the clientele of the luxurious spa. Now it was time to make the next move and try her hand at running her own business. She set about finding a suitable location. Not far from her home, Nuala found a premises in Ballygar, a developing town which didn’t yet have the service that she could provide. Ina short time she turned No. 3 Petit’s Court into a therapy suite. Nuala believes that beauty emanates from all of us and all that is necessary is to enhance it. The name of the business is ‘Para Ti’ meaning ‘for you’ in Spanish and the therapy suite is for all, male and female without barriers. Nuala’s inspiration for the name came from her sister-in-law Yolanda, a beautiful Spanish girl who is the model featured on the brochure for Para Ti. While Nuala was overseeing the re-structuring of the premises, people would come up and ask her questions about what she would be doing there. There was much curiosity the day the sign went up. As soon as the door was open, she knew she had made the right decision to have this facility in Ballygar and she likes the people who have welcomed her so warmly. The suite has four treatment rooms, carefully designed and equipped. On entering the reception area one feels at ease with the colour and décor without the usual reception desk which she believes can tend to intimidate and create a barrier. The atmosphere is soothing and relaxing, carrying the theme of the ocean, which is the essence of the therapy suite. The product line that Nuala has opened with is Thal’ion. Thal’ion, which is based in Brittany, France, produces and selects only the most effective seaweed and marine extracts with the highest concentration of minerals for use in the manufacture of its products. With a combination of wonderful marine and seaweed properties, Thal’ion has developed a skincare range to suit all skin types of conditions. Para Ti has a most impressive variety of treatments available for a holistic body care and wellbeing. Nuala is excited about introducing her therapy to the people of Ballygar and its environs. She is happy with her product range and has a line of Janssen products for male clients. At Para Ti you can feel pampered and relaxed in a therapeutic way. Nuala is well pleased by the reaction she has received, seeing her clientele enjoy the experience and leave refreshed, with a desire to return. Nuala knows she has made a good business start in Ballygar, so whatever your need is, you just find the blue door in Petit Court and you will find something Para Ti (for you). Look out for special offers at unbeatable prices, they change frequently. Nuala will be glad to see you and your pleasure is guaranteed. Para Ti will be officially opened at 7 pm on August 25th by Cynthia Clampett of Mayo/Roscommon Hospice Foundation. There will be an evening of entertainment to celebrate the opening.
