A new national website bringing together information on Ireland’s Greenway network has been launched by Transport Minister Darragh O’Brien.
Greenways.gov.ie provides information on completed routes, facilities, visitor amenities and travel-planning options across the country.
The website was unveiled at the National Active Travel and Greenways Conference in Cork.
Minister O’Brien said €360 million has been allocated for walking and cycling infrastructure during 2026.
Information on individual Greenways will include route details, maps and facilities such as toilets, water fountains and playgrounds, with further routes to be added as the national network expands.
The Minister said the site was intended to make it easier for people to use Greenways for both travel and leisure.
