Networking and information event for filmmaking community

Creative Heartlands are hosting a free network and information evening for all connected to the filmmaking community on Friday, June 17th from 5 pm to 7 pm at the W8 Centre in Manorhamilton, County Leitrim.

If you have an interest in the film and television sector, or would like to learn more about the power of filmmaking for your creative business, The Creative Heartlands project would like to invite you to their networking and information evening. This is also an opportunity to find out more about the supports available and to network with others.

Creative Heartlands was established across Leitrim, Sligo and Roscommon to strengthen economic growth and sustain existing enterprises in the creative sector.

Speakers include Joe Lowe from Leitrim LEO, who will talk about how the LEOs in Leitrim, Roscommon and Sligo can help and support regional film professionals (both emerging and established) and companies operating in the region. Lorraine Higgins, the newly-appointed Manager of Atlantic Academy, Film and TV Crew West will give an overview of Atlantic Academy, how it will operate, and how it can be accessed by the filmmaking community.

Creative Heartlands’ camera equipment will also be on display and Brian Kelly (Creative Heartlands’ Film Manager) will outline some upcoming workshops and events.

Light refreshments will be served at the event. Places are limited and can be booked via Eventbrite at or through email at
