N61 Tulsk-Clashaganny preferred route identified – Callaghan

Cllr. Liam Callaghan has announced that a preferred route corridor for the upgrade of the N61 Tulsk to Clashaganny route has been identified. The preferred route will now go to public consultation and people living along the route and the general public can give their opinion on the proposed plans.

Last year four routes were put on display by the TII and Roscommon County Council, and now one route has emerged.

Cllr. Callaghan said the public consultation is very important and due to public concerns, adjustments have been included in this preferred route.

The plans can be viewed on the Council website and will be on view until August.

Cllr. Callaghan: “This project will increase road safety on this section of road where numerous accidents have occurred. It is also important that local landowners have a strong input, because they see the dangers on a daily basis”.
