The first exhibition by the Mote Park Artists will take place in the Core exhibition space on Church Street, Roscommon from Thursday, 3rd of November-Sunday 6th of November. Each of the ten group members will display several art works, exploring their individual interpretations of ‘place’.
The exhibition will be officially opened on Thursday, 3rd of November at 7 pm. The exhibition will be open to view on the Friday and Saturday from 10 am-5 pm and on Sunday (6th) from 12 pm to 5 pm.
Contributing artists are Eilish Feeley, Noelle Jeffreys, Sharon Joyce, John Larkin, Marie Lough, Dee McKiernan, Nessa McMahon, Paul McManus, Kitty Phelan and Christina Waldron.
The artists meet each week in the very beautiful surroundings of Mote Park, County Roscommon. Members work in a variety of media including oils, acrylics, pastels, watercolours, fabric, mixed media, collage and pencil. The woodlands, wildlife, flora and incredible beauty on the studio doorstep present a wonderful environment in which to create.
The artists are excited to have this opportunity to share this collection of art with the public and they look forward to welcoming visitors to their exhibition.
