Connacht Minor League Galway 1-15 Roscommon 0-7 Roscommons minor footballers will hope that they can play better than this when the Connacht Championship begins next weekend as they will want to forget this game which was played in Ballinasloe last Saturday in a hurry. Roscommon had competed well in the first quarter but a Galway goal in the 24th minute helped the Tribesmen to a 1-8 to 0-5 half-time lead and it was all over after that. Roscommon lost Conor Boylan through injury in the first half which was a blow to the defence and although they battled away Galway coasted to an easy win.
