Milliner Martha reveals loves to Life!

Roscommon native Martha Lynn, now a well-known hat designer and milliner, likes Goodfellas, coffee, a Tayto sandwich and the smell of freshly mown grass!

We know this, because Martha – now a rising star of the Irish fashion scene – has been telling the Sunday Independent’s Life magazine about the ‘loves of her life.’

Martha, who has judged the Best Dressed Lady event at Roscommon Races for a number of years, revealed that she loves “a dramatic gangster movie” (Goodfellas is her favourite) and that ‘Come On Eileen’ by Dexy’s Midnight Runners is the song she loves most, as it reminds her of summers in Roscommon as a kid.

Her first coffee of the day is her moment of the day, freshly cut grass is her favourite smell – and a bag of cheese and onion Tayto is her big vice!

Favourite memory is childhood birthday parties, favourite holiday destination is San Sebastian in Spain, and favourite gadget is her phone.

Asked what person should be singled out in the ‘Loves of My Life’ feature, Martha pays a glowing tribute to her mum, Honor: “She is a tower of strength and is so supportive, motivating and inspirational. I feel like I won the mum lottery.”
