Roscommon Arts Centre is delighted to announce the hugely anticipated return of Mikel Murfi’s ‘The Man In The Woman’s Shoes’ on Thursday, November 1st and its companion piece ‘I Hear You and Rejoice’ on Friday, November 2nd. One story, one spellbinding performer and two nights of theatre that you will not want to miss!
Written by and performed by Mikel, these two very special theatre pieces bring the audience into the world of cobbler Pat Farnon and all those who play a part in his unique life. They are two beautifully observed pieces, utterly simple, funny, tender and always special. Both shows have enjoyed national and international acclaim with sell-out runs at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin, performances at the Tricycle Theatre in London, and most recently at the Irish Arts Centre in New York.
The Man In The Woman’s Shoes and I Hear You and Rejoice show the great charm and affection that exists in rural Ireland through its people and both shows are performed with astonishing versatility from Murfi as he embodies everything from buzzing bees to the local priest!
This is your chance to be part of two very special nights of theatre, to see both pieces back to back, giving the audience the full story over two nights.
