Midlands Home and Garden Festival returns to Belvedere House and Gardens

The Midlands Home and Garden Festival returns to Belvedere House and Gardens from the 6th to the 8th of June.  This is the second year of the festival and it looks set to be even more exciting than last year’s inaugural event. Just what is it that makes this festival so popular?  There are many answers to this question.  There’s the setting itself – the stunning gardens and parkland of Belvedere House, complete with its very own charming walled garden, Gothic Arch and octagonal gazebo. There’s the unparalleled range of products on display.  More than 150 stallholders will take part, each showcasing the latest innovations in interior design, household equipment and gardening tools.  There are the free seminars in which all sorts of experts will give advice on everything from the most recent developments in renewable energy heating systems and how best to insulate your house to how to landscape your garden and the best techniques for keeping bees. There are the renowned gardening experts who attend the event each year.  One of these is award-winning landscape gardener Dominick Cullinane who will be on hand throughout the festival to share his green-fingered wisdom with visitors. There are the opportunities to purchase all sorts of products at reasonable – and often, unexpectedly discounted – prices.  Bargains such as these always attract the crowds! And finally, there is all the fun and entertainment that is always such an important part of the festival experience.  Highlights include hot-air balloon rides; bird-watching tours of the woods; and tours of Belvedere House itself. But that’s not all.  You’ll also marvel at the skill of the dogs taking part in the dog agility shows.  Your mouth will water at the sight of the delicacies for sale at the International Market.  And you’ll learn about our hidden history in the archaeology exhibition. Children too will be well looked after.  A Terabithia and Narnia Trail will be organised in the children’s playground.  Energetic children can run riot while playing games of laser tag and more creative types can take part in arts and crafts workshops.  There truly is something for everybody at this year’s Midlands Home and Garden Festival.  Tickets for this family-friendly event are €10 per person with free admission for children.  So, why not treat the entire family to an enjoyable day out?  Mums and dads will be inspired by the fabulous products and services on display.  Budding gardeners will lap up all of the expert advice available.  And everyone will enjoy the relaxing, friendly atmosphere and the exciting range of fun things to do.  Beautiful surroundings, an unrivalled range of products and services on display, free seminars with the experts, bargains galore and fun for all the family; where else would you find such a combination but at the Midlands Home and Garden Festival?
