Minister Denis Naughten has welcomed the Taoiseach’s confirmation of the commitment he secured in the Budget of funding to extend the opening hours of the Medical Assessment Unit at Roscommon County Hospital.
Speaking to the Roscommon People yesterday (Wednesday), Minister Naughten confirmed that discussions with hospital management had already taken place.
“We have already had discussions with local hospital management regarding the additional staffing requirements at the hospital to extend the MAU opening hours and I understand this is currently going through the recruitment process. A lot of work has taken place to date and this work is continuing,” Minister Naughten said.
