Dr. Maurice Manning will address the Co. Roscommon Historical and Archaeological Society on Tuesday, 8th April at 8.30 pm in the Percy French Hotel, Strokestown, on the life and times of James Dillon TD. James Dillon of Ballaghaderreen was one of a line of staunch nationalist parliamentarians of the Dillon family, stretching back to John Blake Dillon of Young Irelander fame. James was a gifted orator and one-time leader of the Fine Gael party. Note the change of venue for this meeting. All welcome.
