Martin can’t wait for midfield battle

Martin Reynolds is one of the Ballyleague ‘young guns’ who is hoping to lead his side to victory on Sunday next. The big midfielder has formed a very strong partnership with Senan O’Grady which has helped Faithleachs sweep into another senior final.   ‘We had a mixed start to the campaign. We were good against Castlerea but we were well beaten by Kilmore, but thankfully we have picked it up since then.’   Martin says that the younger players in the Faithleachs set-up are maturing and that’s why they are playing so well this year.    ‘A lot of the young players are stepping up to the mark now so we are hoping that we can all contribute to the cause. The older lads have carried the team for long enough’ he said.   He is looking forward to the midfield clash with Karol Mannion and Mark O’Carroll. ‘I’m really looking forward to it, although Karol and Mark are a stronger  pairing than any we have met so far in the championship, so myself and Senan (O’Grady) will be up against it – but we are really looking forward to this game’ he concluded.
