Roscommon There was a very strong trade for all classes of cattle on Friday last. Numbers were well up on the previous week and there was a clearance of almost 100 percent. On Wednesday at the sheep sale, hogget prices were up slightly, making €28 to €33.50 over for butchers hoggets. Dry ewes were similar to last week, making €30 to 65 per head. Ewes with lambs at foot met a very strong trade, making from €80 to €160. Eg. Two ewes with four lambs €102, six ewes with 12 lambs €160. Heavy bullocks 500 kgs and over made from €235 to €500 over. Prices: 10 Ch 625 kgs €1,050, Ch 600 kgs €1,058, 5 Ch 636 kgs €1,035, Hol Fr 625 kgs €860. Store bullocks up to 500 kgs made €230 to €440 over.
