Friday, January 20th: There were increased numbers on offer this week with an excellent trade for all classes. Prices for bullocks ranged from €2.09 per kilo up to €2.27 per kilo. There was a brisk trade for heifers with prices averaging from €2.28 up to €3.06 per kilo. There was a large entry of dry cows on offer with nearly a100% clearance of lots. Prices ranged from €1.54 per kilo up to €2.06 per kilo. Friday sales continue weekly for bullocks, heifers and dry cows – Special sale of bullocks tomorrow (Friday 27th) also heifers and dry cows.

Sheep sale – Wednesday, January 25th: We had a small entry of hoggets again this week. There was dip in trade for the finished hoggets with hoggets making as high as €102. The trade for cast ewes was on a par with the previous week. Sales continue each Wednesday at 11 am for lambs and cast ewes.
Sample prices – Hoggets: 45.7kgs €102, 49kgs €101.5, 51.7kgs €101, 63.4kgs €100, 48.7kgs €96.5, 49.7kgs €96, 45.8kgs €93. Cast ewes made from €73 to €98 per lot.
