CASTLEREA There were 500 cattle on offer. Forward store bullocks and weanling heifers were an improved trade while the other classes of stock on offer were unchanged. Bullocks: Ch 740 kgs €1,175, Ch 735 kgs  €1,270, B. Her 565 kgs €875, AA 510 kgs €805, Ch 565 kgs €852, Ch 535 kgs €807, Red Lim 450 kgs €728, B. Lim 380 kgs €635, AA 550 kgs €820. Heifers: Ch 435 kgs €765, Ch 485 kgs €800, Red Lim 465 kgs €805, AA 440 kgs €630, B. Lim 450 kgs €710, Ch 525 kgs €832, AA 425 kgs €620. Cows: Cows with calves at food made from €700 to €1,130 per head. Dry cows: Ch 750 kgs €1,180, AA 645 kgs €645, Red Lim 775 kgs €1,050. Weanlings bulls: Ch 380 kgs €720, R. Bull Weanling: Two Limousin bull weanlings ’07 300 kgs €575. Heifers: Two Ch heifers ’05 450 kgs €720, Limousin heifer ’05 400 kgs €665, Hereford heifer ’05 385 kgs €595. Heifer weanlings: Sim Heifer ’06 305 kgs €545, Ch heifer ’06 270 kgs €550, two Ch heifers ’07 210 kgs €430, two Hereford heifers ’07 220 kgs €410. Sheep: Larger number of sheep on offer to previous week. Lambs were a similar trade to previous week. There were an increased numbers of cull ewes on offer and increased numbers of breeding sheep met with slightly easier trade. Lambs: 12 wether lambs at 49 kgs €75, 11 ewe lambs at 48.5 kgs €77.50, ten ewe lambs at 53 kgs €80, 17 wether lambs at 42 kgs €67.50, 14 wether lambs at 46 kgs €71, 20 wether lambs at 44 kgs €68. Stag ewes: Easier trade to previous week. Prices ranged from €30 to €51. Breeding ewes: Hogget ewes ranged in price from €85 to €117, two year-old ewes ranged in price from €70 to €98.50, three-year-old ewes ranged in price from €60 to €84.50, four-year-old ewes ranged in price from €50 to €68.50
