The Marie Corcoran Memorial Weekend will be held in Knockcroghery this weekend. There are events throughout the weekend in memory of Marie, with all proceeds going to Roscommon Cancer Support Group, based at Vita House.
Events
A progressive 25 Card Game (Single Hand) will take place on Friday, 7th of Ocotber at 9 pm in Ned’s Bar, Knockroghery. First prize is a ewe lamb or €120, second prize is €75 and third prize is €50. Raffle tickets and card game tickets are on sale in Ned’s Bar. Entry is €10. All are welcome.
On Saturday (8th) Marie’s teams – St. Dominics and St. Brigids – take on each other in a fun football game. The game will take place in St Dominics pitch at 4.30 pm. There will be face painting, games and refreshments on the day. Entry is optional.
And lastly, on Sunday 9th of October, Marie’s Memorial Walk, Run or Cycle 5/10km (in association with Roscommon Sports Partnership) takes place at 3 pm. Registration will begin at 2 pm in the Knockcroghery Community Centre. Entry is €10. Free admission for children. Refreshments will be served after in Ned’s Bar, along with music and a barbeque. There will be a raffle at 9 pm with a selection of great prizes.
All monies raised go to Roscommon Cancer Support Group, Vita House.
