A man in his 70s has died tragically following a workplace accident in Tibohine, Co Roscommon this morning.
Emergency services attended the incident between Frenchpark and Ballaghaderreen at around a 10.15 am.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has been removed to Roscommon University Hospital where a post-mortem will take place.
The Health and Safety Authority will conduct an investigation into the incident.
