Connacht Council has confirmed that this year’s Connacht Senior Football Championship decider will take place at Hastings Insurance MacHale Park in Castlebar next month.
The Mayo venue will host the provincial decider on Sunday, May 7th with throw in at 1.45 pm regardless of what teams progress from the semi-finals this weekend.
It has also been confirmed that the Connacht LGFA Senior final between Mayo and Galway will be played at the venue beforehand at 11.30 am.
Dr Hyde Park would have been an option for a possible Galway v New York/Sligo final in years previous but the county town won’t be considered for Connacht finals until upgrade works are carried out at the venue.
